The CUA Visa Debit card gives you all the convenience of a credit card but you use your own money. You only spend the funds in your account, helping you keep better control of your budget.

Best of all, Visa Debit transactions are completely fee-free when you press credit (CR) at the EFTPOS terminal at participating retailers.

With CUA Visa payWave there’s now an easier and more convenient way to pay for small purchases with your Debit card. For purchases under $100, there’s no swiping, no pin, and no signature required at any merchant displaying the contactless reader and Visa payWave symbol. You simply wave your card and go.

Features

With a CUA Visa Debit card:

  • There is no annual fee
  • You can access your money using EFTPOS and ATM facilities, wherever the Visa logo appears
  • You can access your funds across Australia or overseas through Visa, the world’s largest credit card network
  • Transactions are completely fee-free when you press the credit (CR) button at the EFTPOS terminal at participating retailers (you must select savings (SAV) or cheque (CHQ) if you also need cash out)
  • You can use your card to make purchases over the phone and the internet
  • Microchip technology (PDF File, 198.6 KB) protects you against counterfeiting, card skimming and other fraudulent use
  • Added protection for shopping online with Verified by Visa.
