Before you complete an application for a CUA Personal loan please read the information below to see if you are eligible to apply and have all of the information you will need to complete the application.
Am I eligible to apply?
- I am over 18 years of age
- I am an Australian Citizen or permanent Australian resident
- I have a regular income
- I have not had defaults on any Loans, Credit cards, Interest free finance or Store cards in the last 5 years
What you need to apply
If you are eligible to apply you will need the following documentation to complete the application. In order to complete your loan application you will be required to prove your identity by having these items sighted by a CUA branch member.
- Personal ID – a valid drivers licence, passport, Proof of age card, birth certificate, Centrelink Pension card, or overseas birth certificate.
- Proof of income - last two pay slips or last income tax return for each borrower (showing gross fortnightly amount)
- If self-employed, your last two full tax returns and latest taxation Notice of Assessment.
- Proof of liabilities - details of any loans or credit cards each borrower may have. If the loans or credit cards are not with CUA please include the last 6 months of statements.
- If you are applying for a Personal loan - equity in real estate, you will also need the latest copy of your rates notice.
Please note: the above requirements are the minimum requirements, further documentation may be requested.
