CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.
2. The Promotion commences at open 1/08/08 at 0900 AEST and close at 2100 AEST on 08/08/2008 (“Promotion Period”). The Promoter and Co-ordinator is Credit Union Australia Limited (CUA). ABN: 44 087 650 959 AFSL: 238317. 175 Eagle Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000.
3. Entry is open to residents of Australian States and Territories. Employees of the Promoter and Co-ordinator, their agencies associated with this promotion and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
4. To enter to win $800 in a CUA account individuals must via the competition web page describe in 25 words or less what Olympic event they wish they could go for gold in and why, to become an (“Eligible Entrant”). The best primary “Eligible Entrant” will be chosen on 08/09/2008. An individual is only permitted a maximum of one entry per eligible entrant. To enter to win $400 in a CUA account individuals must via the competition web page have entered the $800 competition and then nominate 4 friends valid email addresses to have the original email forwarded to, to become an (“Eligible Entrant”). The best secondary “Eligible Entrant” will be chosen on 08/09/2008. An individual is only permitted a maximum of one entry per eligible entrant. CUA will not store or send any communication to the nominated friend’s email address (apart from the competition email) unless that person registers themselves into the prize draw.
5. The prize of $800 and $400 will be deposited into the individual winners CUA account or if a non-member the member will be required to become a member of CUA and open an account to have the prize deposited. Details of account are available in our General Information, Terms & Conditions brochure.
6. The 2 winners will be notified in person immediately after the draw takes place by phone and email. Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash or any other goods or services.
8. All entries become the property of the Promoter. All entries named “Go for gold with an 8.80% p.a. term deposit.” will be entered into a database and the Promoter may use the entrants’ names, addresses to administer the competition and for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, unless otherwise advised. The winner agrees that CUA may use the name, address and photograph of the winner for promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, unless otherwise advised.
9. A winner may be liable to declare his/her prize for taxation purposes and is responsible for payment of tax, if any.
10. The Promoter and Co-ordinator, their related bodies corporate, their officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for and shall be held harmless from any loss, damage, or injury whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or sustained, as a result of or arising from the winner and companion’s acceptance and use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
11. The Promoter and Co-ordinator will not be responsible for any act, omission, failure or delay not reasonably within their control.
