CUA welcomes back old friend
1 September 2007
Credit Union Australia (CUA) has appointed Mr Dennis Webb, previous long-standing employee, to the national role of Head of Business Development at its Brisbane Hub Office.
Mr Webb has worked for CUA in the past from 1988 to early 2000 and said he believed the organisation had helped him grow both personally and professionally.
“In my past work with CUA I held differing organisational roles within Credit Control Management, Retail Banking Management, Sales Management and Business Development,” he said.
Mr Webb left CUA in 2000 to pursue his own entrepreneurial business goals in Australia and overseas but said he was excited to be returning to CUA after nearly eight years.
“Returning to CUA is like returning home – except now my role specifically encompasses leading the mobile lending, broker relationship management, bank@work and alliance relationships area of the organisation.
“I’m looking forward to the future and the many initiatives my team and I will contribute towards improving CUA’s relationships with our clients. It’s exciting to be involved in igniting a passion for community along with the process of helping people achieve their own financial dreams.”
“The financial services industry remains one of the most competitive industries to operate in, yet purely mutual organisations like CUA offer so much member value in their holistic ‘not for profit but for service’ ethos.
“Our main aim is to continue to grow our core lending business at percentages above the industry standard by accessing a very new and different member demographic to what has been traditionally targeted over the past two decades.”
