Experienced banking manager brings wealth of knowledge to CUA
1 September 2007
Credit Union Australia (CUA) recently appointed Mr David Clulow, who has vast experience in the banking sector, to the position of Head of Retail Banking at its Sydney Hub Office.
Mr Clulow has held various roles in the banking industry, which he said has helped him adapt well to his current position at CUA.
“I have held positions such as Regional Leader at St George, where I was responsible for 120 Sydney branches, and Regional Manager and State Manager Financial Planning for Commonwealth Bank,” he said.
“These roles have helped me to become quickly familiarised with working at CUA.
“My current role encompasses the overall responsibilities of the National Branch Network. That includes three state based Call Centres and our Branch Operations Team.
“While I have extensive experience in Branch Banking, the Call Centre business has been a new and challenging experience that has been made easier with the support of a newly recruited and extremely experienced Call Centre National Manager.
“My main goal is to build a unique member focused retail distribution that balances member needs, employee engagement and required profit.”
Mr Clulow said he accepted the position at CUA because of the company’s unique combination of size and strong organisational culture.
“CUA is an organisation large enough to meet all the competitive demands of modern banking while still displaying the honesty, integrity and genuine care that large banks are not usually known for.”
