All is red-dy for Red Bow Day thanks to CUA staff’s paid community leave day

As part of their one paid community leave day 12 CUA (Credit Union Australia) staff from Brisbane helped the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Queensland with their preparations for Red Bow Day, to be held on 13 March.

CUA Acting CEO Rob Nicholls said one paid community leave day was available to all staff as part of the credit union’s corporate sustainability program.

“As part of our commitment to sustainability and being a responsible corporate citizen, CUA offers one paid day of community leave each year, providing staff with the opportunity to personally make a change for the better to the communities in which they live and work.

“The annual community leave day is an initiative that has been in place at CUA for a number of years, and one of the most recent charities that our staff members have chosen to support is the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Queensland.

“12 CUA staff members headed over to the charity’s office in Hendra each day from 16-20 February to help pack envelopes which will accompany over 6,000 donations boxes that will be sent out to businesses across Queensland.

“CUA is an organisation committed to serving our members and their local communities, which is why we encourage our staff members to take one day off a year to give back to the local community and help out various charitable causes.
