RediATM expansion to double accessibility across Australia for CUA members

01 September 2009

From 1 September, the members of Australia’s largest credit union CUA (Credit Union Australia) can begin accessing over 3,100 ATMs across Australia without paying a direct charge fee.

An agreement that effectively sees the NAB ATM fleet join the rediATM fleet nationally will provide better access for CUA members through the second most accessible ATM network in the country.

CUA CEO Mr Chris Whitehead said that a recent report by independent financial rating service Canstar Cannex found that level of accessibility of the new network was one of the highest in Australia.

“The new agreement makes CUA’s ATM network a far reaching one with 88.9% of Australia’s population living within five kilometres of a CUA rediATM,” he said.

“To assist our members in identifying machines which will not attract a direct charge, NAB ATMs will soon feature a rediATM logo.

The Canstar Cannex report awarded the “Most Accessible Credit Union – ATM & Branch” to CUA in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
