Online Application Process

Applying online for a CUA personal loan is fast and easy. Before you start, please check you are eligible.
To be eligible for a Personal Loan we require that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are a permanent resident of Australia
- Are currently employed
- Receive a regular income
- Have not declared bankruptcy or insolvency, or had defaults on any loans, credit cards, interest free finance or store cards in the last five years.
To complete this application, you'll need the following information on hand:
- Your employment and income details
- Your asset details including house, land, vehicles, contents, money, shares and super
- Any amount owing on loans, overdrafts, credit/store cards (including limits and repayments)
- Your Australian driver's license details^
- Your Medicare details^
- Your passport details^ ^ if you have one
Evidence of the above may be required prior to final approval.
Please note: these are the minimum requirements for a Personal Loan application. We may ask you to supply additional documents.
CUA assesses your application based on the information provided and may consider alternatives, such as a longer loan term or a reduced loan amount where we believe this is more suitable. The details will be displayed once the assessment is complete for your consideration.

Loan Repayment Insurance will help provide peace of mind that your home loan, personal loan, or overdraft repayments can be taken care of if you can’t take care of them. It means you can focus on the important things in life, right when you need to.▼
Life CoverPays the lesser of the outstanding loan balance (less any repayments overdue for more than two months) or $750,000 or the credit limit, if you pass away
Accident and Illness Cover (Disablement)Helps cover your loan repayments for up to 24 months if you’re unable to work (up to $150 for each daily equivalent of your repayment to a maximum of $108,000 in total for all claims)
Involuntary Unemployment CoverHelps cover your loan repayments for up to six months per claim if you involuntarily lose your job (up to $150 for each daily equivalent of your repayment to a maximum of $27,000 for any one claim)
Joint cover can be provided at a reduced premium for the second borrower.
Loan Repayment Insurance is optional when taking out a home loan, personal loan or overdraft. Before making a decision whether to purchase this cover, please read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
